On Good Morning America

The world of music, acting and motivation constantly collide. Rich gives a pep talk before the band hits the stage on ‘Good Morning America’.

Have A Restless Spirit

In navigating my career for the last twenty years, I never stopped moving forward. I realized the importance of practicing constantly, taking lessons, recording myself (audio and video), listening to tons of music and constantly improving.

Whether you are a drummer, a data analyst, or a sales executive, you need to embrace this same restless spirit. This is how you will outpace the competition. – Rich

Taking Direction

Don’t take suggestions and criticisms personally. Taking direction and criticism without being offended or becoming angry is a skill. It’s the one skill that will make people remember you and recommend you to their friends. – Rich

Always Play Your Best

It all starts with taking your first gig, doing well and having another person pass your name onto someone else. It’s a cycle. It starts by taking that first gig and knocking it out of the ballpark. You can’t have a bad day. The one time you have a bad day will be the day that an influential ‘tastemaker’ or ‘gatekeeper’ will witness your less than stellar performance. Always play your best. – Rich
