Plan to arrive no later than 2:00pm in order to be set up before the event starts. Free drum clinics and drum performances will begin at 10:00am up until 3:00pm show time.

• Gold Package ($150.00): Guaranteed spot in the first four rows in front of the stage for you to set up your own drums.
• Platinum Package ($250.00): We supply a drumset, set up and waiting for you in the first or second row in front of the stage. After the show you can simply walk away. Includes a meet and greet session with all guest artists immediately prior to the show, a commemorative laminate and a commemorative Big Beat logo snare drum head.
FUNDRAISING
The Woodstick Big Beat is a fundraising event to raise money for local school music programs. We highly encourage all participants to raise pledges much like you would in a walk-a-thon. All participants who raise over $100 in pledges will be entered to win a huge drum package from our sponsors. Fundraising forms and online fundraising info coming soon.
DRUMS
If you participate, you’ll need drums to bring a drum set. You can bring as large a set as you like but to count towards a world record it must consist of at least the following:
• A bass drum with a pedal
• A snare drum with a stand
• A tom tom
• A hi-hat, ride or crash cymbal
• Any and all spikes must be retracted or covered with rubber feet
• You MUST bring a small carpet/rug to set up on large enough so that none of your hardware touches the floor

DRUM SET CONTEST
Anyone can enter the drum set contests.  Prizes awarded in each category for:

Rich will be doing a 50 minute educational drum set clinic at The 52nd Annual Percussive Arts Society Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 16th, 2013. 11-11:50 am. Ballroom 500
The clinic is entitled:
“Diary of Nashville Session Drummer:
Demystifying the Nashville Studio Process”

The Plot:
As the drummer supplying the massive backbeat for multi platinum country star Jason Aldean, Rich Redmond shares his insights recording with Aldean and many other Nashville talents. Rich will discuss what makes Nashville’s recording process unique, such as it’s famed “number system”, as well as concepts like the anatomy of Nashville, gear, tuning, song charting, playing with clicks and loops, overdubbing percussion, money beats, working in a team and his CRASH concept for success. Attendees can follow along with the actual charts used to record multiple #1 hits as Rich’s plays along with them.

This one of a kind drumming weekend takes place November 1-3, 2013 in Nashville, Tn.
This weekend of education, inspiration, and entertainment features 24 hours of hands of training with multi platinum country star JASON ALDEAN’s recording/touring drummer RICH REDMOND! Guest clinicians include: TROY LUCCKETTA (TESLA) and JIM RILEY (RASCAL FLATTS). Guest studio panel features: NICK BUDA (Taylor Swift), CHRIS McHUGH (Keith Urban) and TOMMY HARDEN (Reba, Sessions). Producer MICHAEL KNOX (Jason Aldean, Montgomery Gentry, Bush Hawg) will be doing a Q+A session as well as artist JOHN EDDIE. Nashville’s 3 KINGS rhythm section will also be doing a session. Students will sit in with an all star rhythm section (Pete Iannacone on bass and John Foster on vocals, guitar) and get immediate feedback for improvement. Rich will be teaching his CRASH philosophy for success in the music business as well as subjects like: The Nashville Number System, song charting, overdubbing percussion, creating click tracks, getting and keeping gigs, money beats, mental/business techniques to create the music career of your dreams.
